My Mainframe guru and I have come up with a solution. When he helped me to
not look at the data as a physical record but as a logical one, the light

I use an HP3000 969 running MPE/iX 6.0.  I have several COBOL and QUIZ
reports that include escape sequences to set fonts, page length, etc.
When I send these reports to a serial printer everything is fine (and
has been for many years).  Now we are beginning to use network printers
and none of the escape sequences seem to work.  Page 2 starts at the
bottom of page 1, page 3 in the middle of page 2, and so on.  Also the
fonts and orientation aren't correct.
Can anybody help?
