mget and FTP

I need to ftp all the files in a directory under NT up to my HP and mget
seems perfect, however how are file extensions handled, or file names that
are too long to get created by default?  I did a couple of tests and the
files don't make it up.

Also is there a way to keep FTP from prompting for each file?
