We never got a disk (this was at school). I remember
the multi-pass compiles...reading cards, punching
cards, reading more cards. iirc, the process was:
Punch Program (on 026 punch)
Load FORTRAN deck
Load program
Punch relocatable
Load Linker
Load relocatable
Load subroutines
Punch linked deck
Load Loader
Load linked deck
Punch Core Image deck
Load Core Image deck
Run program
If (bugs) then goto step 1
I wish I would have had stock in a paper company about
