        A few questions

1 - On the system that cannot telnet, can you do a dsline and remote?
2 - Have you checked the SERVICES.NET.SYS file on all three systems to
ensure that they are all the same?
3 - Can you telnet into the system that you cannot get out from?
4 - Are all three systems on the same OS / patch level?
5 - Is the default gateway configured on each system and does it point
to the same address?

I know you probably have tried / checked these, your message does not
indicate this info.

Subject: Telnet problem on one of three new systems

The problem:

Three new HP 3000s were installed on a LAN (same segment). All are identical,
except for their IP addresses (the installer swears that the system configs are
identical and that the NMMGR configs are identical). I've looked at them, and
I don't see anything different.

Two of the new systems are working fine.

One of the new systems has a problem with Telnet, namely, it WILL talk to
anything that ISN'T an HP 3000, but it WON'T talk to any HP 3000.

Below is what they get when they try to connect to another HP 3000 via telnet.
Oh, and system names were changed (a little) to protect the guilty.
