We do use limits on some accounts and groups, so, yes --- this does still
work. :-
Also,
- temp files aren't included in the accounting until you try to :SAVE
them in the permanent domain
- exceeding the limit results in an OUT OF {ACCOUNT|GROUP} DISK SPACE
message
- HFS domain files are included in the accounting; remember that the
directory entries (HBD's) will also consume space
- I think you've about covered it -- except that this is a lot more
work. :-)

Subject: [HP3000-L] account limits
we're thinking about using account limits on our production
machine and so i've got some questions....
- it does still work, yes? i'm rather under the impression
that most folks don't use account limits...
- do temporary files (file yadayada...;temp :-) 'count'
against your account's limit?
- and so what does happen if you try to exceed your
account's limit?
- what about hfs files? how do they figure in?
- have i forgotten anything? :-) - d
