SORRY folks, but I just can't resist the temptation with
all the talk of 8 track etc etc........

Punch cards:

1.  They have a 'shelf life' FAR beyond that of any
     tape (fire an water damage apart)!

2.  You can write on them and it will have no effect
     on the data - useful for taking notes at meetings!

3.  Not effected by magnetism!

4.  You can..........

I don't think I need go on further (but I could!!!!)
