Subject: XEROX 4230 MRP

Greetings! I hope someone out there has or has used this printer and can
answer my question.

On our 987 we use two Xerox 4230 MRP printers as well as several HP printers.

For several applications, we load macros into the Xerox to use our own forms.
The macro is similar to an environment file as I understand. Unfortunately our
operations staff has to manually set the font, pitch, orientation and page
length prior to printing the spoolfile.

I have placed the escape sequences in a program to do these tasks but they
don't seem to be working. When the spool file is sent, there are no changes in
the settings except that the macro gets loaded and prints but with the wrong
font etc. If I look at the spoolfile ahead of time, all the escape sequences
are present and are correct according to the manual.

Anyway, we are new at this on these printers so I suspect we may be leaving out
a step and the manual I have does not go into great detail.

Any ideas are most appreciated.

Thanks
