We have been using 2 MACS products from Smith Gardner for just under a year.
We own the Past Times group of shops and Catalogues among many others.
We use Euro Macs in the UK and we use MACS 2 for our US call centre over
frame relay (All running from our HP3000 in Oxfordshire).
I would recommend it quite highly - There are a few problems with Euromacs
but they are sorting them out as they come along. And the problems are only
small.

        Like Mark Halsted I could find very little on their Website to
indicate that the
        product is HP3000-based - in fact it looks like they've gone to
great lengths
        *not* to mention the HP3000. They have a version of the product that
runs on NT
        and a Unix version out "later this year" according to the Website.

        You say they're picking up loads of new customers in the UK. I live
in London
        (England) and this is interesting news. Do you know of any specific
customers
        (other than Staples which is mentioned on their Website)?

        Smith Gardner have an excellent Call Center/Fullfilment and Mail
        Order Package. In the UK they are finding new green field new
        business like its going out of style, and yes it ONLY runs on
HP3000.
        They are soon to expand across Europe. In the US they have a LARGE
        number of installations, yes on HP3000.
