My new patchman patch analysis SH script is available for testing.

It analyzes your already installed patches looking for:

        patches marked as bad
        patches that have been superseded
patches missing from the current VUF patch catalog

It lists new patches that you might want to download and install:

patches that supersede any of your existing patches
new FOS patches and new patches for products already patched in HPSWINFO
new "other" patches not in either of the above sets

You can download the script from:

        ftp://ftp.cccd.edu/pub/mpe/patchman
        or
        http://www.cccd.edu/ftp/pub/mpe/patchman

This script is read-only right now, but will be enhanced in a later version to
do downloading and unpacking.

Your feedback is important to me! I'm only able to test on two 3000 machines.

CAUTION: THIS SCRIPT IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR USING YOUR OWN GOOD PATCHING
JUDGEMENT OR THAT OF THE HPRC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
