We have a number of HP2034A printers that are gradually going out of
service. We have tried a couple of substitutes (because HP doesn't make
the HP2934A any more) including the Seikosha BP-7800 II and the Advanced
Matrix Technology (AMT) Accel-535 which both purport to use HP2934A
emulation. The problem is, neither of these printers respond identically
to the HP2934A and there are some font differences and control code
differences including forcing condensed printing. Does anyone have any
suggestions for another printer that can successfully substitute for the
HP2934A?

TIA,

Cheers,

John Dunlop
