Michael Gueterman starts off his note with:
> Considering its tax day (in the US), here is the whole saying:
We in the US have SHAREd with Uncle Sam - and not too many ENJOYed it one
bit - unless you get a refund (what the hell is a refund? Oh yes, the
amount that one would write on line 66a of Form 1040 if Line 64 is larger
than line 56. Mine still says "0" on this line, and has a number greater
than zero shown on line 68 (Amount you owe - in bold type)... sheesh!
They say that May 5th is "Tax Freedom Day" in the US. That's the day that
"supposedly", if one takes all of their salary/wages, and totals it up, it
would take care of their tax liability for 1999. I hear in the UK, if they
had a Tax Freedom Day, it would come sometime in August or September ;)
Cheers,
Joe
