The Navy has been getting a lot of corrupt message files since upgrading to
5.5 pp 6. The message files in question are accessed via RFA (Remote File
Access). Apparently when NS on 5.5 pp 6 hiccups or the remote session is
dropped, the cleanup MPE is now performing is not what it used to be, and
the message files are being corrupted on a routine basis. Only the systems
running 5.5 pp 6 are affected.

Has anyone else run into this problem?

Side note:
I wish they (the Navy) would fund modifying/rewriting the application to
use NETIPC, but they won't, and haven't for 12 years (the application was
written in the days of DS in 1984 and 1985).

John
