(The following is specific to a 979KS -- I don't know if the 929 is
identical, but you can probably get close.    :-)

Remote access to the modem is either locked and/or disabled.  Put the
keyswitch for the system into the 'Service' position, then, from the
*physical* console, type, Ctrl-B.  A status display should appear on the
bottom line of the terminal where you should see REMOTE ACCESS status.  If
"Locked", you should enter the command, UR <cr> (Unlock Remote), followed
by the command, ER <cr> (Enable Remote); otherwise, just enter the ER <cr>
command.

You should always keep this modem's remote access disabled and locked when
not needed.  Outgoing calls, such as from Predictive Support, will not be
affected.

Subject:  929 Internal Support Modem




This is a new installation and the internal support modem will not pick up
an incoming call.  Is there something which must be done to enable this?  I
know it will dial out since predictive dialed out after the install.
