We run a program that creates a print file. This is part of a purchased
package and we do not own source code. The spoolfile created by this program
has a unique name, FILEDES. Is there a way to create a routine that would
download that file to a PC only by knowing the FILEDES? Is there a way to
strip off the SPOOLID if I did a LISTSPF on the FILEDES? Is there a
different way?

I have no 3rd party tools, just CI, NM SPOOLER and EDIT/3000 ( no QEDIT,
MPEX etc.) I would appreciate any help anyone can give me.
