How about a command file called 'XLRUN' in one of the groups in your
HPPATH variable, or maybe a system-level UDC called 'RUN'? (note that
this would only work for native-mode programs!)
# XLRUN - no guarantee this works as written!
anyparm prog_name
run !prog_name;XL=myXL1,myXL2,XL.pub.sys,NL.pub.sys
FWIW!
