I ran into a problem with PP4 where we had to flip flags 2 & 3 on DTC logging. It was generating so much traffic that a single DTC
chewed up 15% of the CPU on a 987.  Check with RCS and see if the bug was fixed in PP6. Perhaps this might be *part* of the
problem.
