I vote for scripts as functions and all current LaserJets as supported
printers. ( moke them supported at when released)  MPE should be a
similar platform support as NT.

I cast my "vote" with Stan. HP trots out the "solutions already exist"
excuse when it suits HP. Let's be consistent. Solutions already exist
for
altering the file code, so commit the resources to something else.

Such as UDC/scripts as functions.

Although at first glance it sounds perfectly fine, I find that I
have to put on my slightly-curmudgeon-looking hat, and say "why?".

I'd rather have the effort put into doing something that we *can't*
do today, rather than on something for which solutions already exist!

E.g., UDC/scripts as functions would provide valuable new functionality.
