Can anybody enlighten me with real-life examples where there is
a pressing need for such an ALTFILE;CODE= command option? Seems
like my imagination is somewhat weak today...

Oh, by the way, would we need/want to spend the effort on a CI
command option or wouldn't be a DEBUG USE file or macro easier
to implement (and put the "hurdle for innocent misuse" slightly
higher)?

Lars (those who don't have MPEX still have DEBUG ;-)

PS... No wait. Allegro already has a util. Why waste time on ALTFILE?
