I had the battery pack for my 41CV rebuilt at Batteries Plus. (It cost
about $20.) They should be able to do the same for your printer battery.
(Fortunately, mine still seems to hold a charge pretty well.)

My 16C got me hooked on RPN years ago. I can't use an algebraic calculator
anymore, either; my fingers get confused when they can't find the ENTER
key. :-) My son is an RPN addict, too, so I just got him a 48GX for
school.

Subject: RE: Thermal Printer Problem

I have 2 HP-41s. I have an original HP-41C which was destroyed by my HP CE
years ago, and a 41CV which replaced it. I also have the card reader
82104a and the printer. The serial numbers indicate that I bought the 41C
and the card reader in 1979, the printer in 1980 and got the replacement
41CV in 1988. The battery pack in the printer is giving me fits right now,
but the calculator works great. It is the best calculator I have ever
owned.

I still have trouble using non-RPN calculators, which is why I usually go
back to my 41.

Kind regards,

Denys. . .
