Nettool will only display the HP3000's view of the world, ie the gateway it
would send the IP packet to, based on the nmmgr ns configuration. Currently
I don't believe there is a traceroute utility for the 3k, though I'd love to
be wrong. So it's just ping and pray.

Joe,
I am not sure if this is what you are looking for, but in NETTOOL you can
see the source, destination, and gateway IP's:
PRODEAST/HP3K/PUB>nettool.net.sys
NETTOOL Version: B05090B7
Enter HELP HELP for an explanation of the help facility.
Enter HELP OPERATION for guidance on NETTOOL use.
Commands can be abbreviated, HELP keywords cannot.
Menu-specific commands for the ROOT:
RESOURCE CONFIG NAMEADDR PING STATUS NMDUMP
X25STAT X25CHECK IPCINT XPVAL XPPERF QVALNS
NSTEST LOOPINIT NSLOGON SOCKINFO filters
[1]>>>na
CACHE MAPPINGS ROUTING PATH filters
[2]NAMEADDR>>>pa
NAME ADDRESS filters
[3]NAMEADDR.PATH>>>ad
IP address (e.g. 15.1.2.126):198.251.176.33
IP source :187.135.105.60 SUBNET: FIDDINI

Hope that helps.
