Jim also said that he wasn't interested in starting a thread or
anything, but hey, I can't help it...

The foundation of the year 2000 problem wasn't actually started by the
Jews.  It was started by the Catholics when the Pope insisted on
establishing the calendar in reference to the birth of Jesus.  The
Christian world followed suit and adopted the Pope's calendar.  And now
western civilization has passed it on to the rest of the world through
technology.

What have we wrought?
