Jim,
There is something that can be done. As a school district, we try to keep
students from changing things on the system arbitrarily. After trying
several methods of securing the system, we have found that the most
effectove product is Foolproof for Windows95 from Smartstuff Software.
Their web site is www.smartstuff.com. We have been able to secure the
system down to the point that they cannot even boot from floppy without
the password. It is also fairly inexpensive. You might want to look into
it.
