Howdy,
Well, we use Netprint92 from Minisoft to handle our networked 256x
printers. It's got some kind of restart function in it, but the other
day I was in a hurry, didn't remember the syntax so just texted up
the spoolfile in Qedit, chopped out what I didn't want sent it off to
the printer and went back to my rain prayer manuals.

Subject: Converting HP 2567B printers from HP-IB to parallel
(Jetdirect)
We are currently migrating from a HP3000 992 that has HP-IB connected line
printers to a HP3000 979 which no longer supports HP-IB. We are to convert
our HP-IB printers to Network printers but in doing so we will lose a lot of
functionality; page level recovery is not supported. This means that if the
printer jams while printing, it will not recover the page. You also aren't
able to offset the printer +/- x number of pages.
Page level recovery is supported by the following printers :
* Colour LaserJet
* LaserJet 4 family (except 4L)
* HP 2680
* HP 2688
* HP 5000/C30 and C40
* HP-IB CIPER
I would like some information on what other sites have done to overcome this
problem - from changing their prnters to implementing some other system.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
CON HORAITIS
