How much can the blocking factor help (on MPE/ix)? I was under the
impression it was more of a factor on MPE V.

Nick has a good point. I usually recommend that all datasets be at the
same size and that this size be 2048 words or 4096 bytes. If this is too
large, you might try 512 words or 1024 words.

Curt, look at the block sizes, which could be important depending
on
how the data base is accessed.
