CEO to step down after major shakeup

Hewlett-Packard said today that it will split off its test and measurement
division into a separate company in a major reorganization that will
culminate with the retirement of Lewis Platt as CEO.

The only surprise here was the retirement of Lew Platt.  The rest I knew
between CNBC and the usual sources - and because I was working on the
renewal with HP, I heard it about the whole story (except Lew's retirement)
about 20 minutes after "the troops" were told.
