If you are a subscriber to the HP3000-L:

1. Send your search message to

[log in to unmask] <not listserve>

2. Depending on what information you know, include it in the search command. The
      basic syntax is:

search hp3000-l [* | keyword [...keyword] ]

where "keyword" is some word or words -- without quotes -- that you think was/were in
      the posting itself.

Use any of the following additional parameters:

from yy/mm/dd <for the earliest date of the posting>

to yy/mm/dd <for the latest date of the posting>

where subject contains {string} <some word you think was in the subject --
      without quotes>

where sender contains {string} <some part of the e-mail address you thinks fits
      the sender -- without quotes>

Example:

search hp3000-l archives discussion from 99/03/02 to 99/03/04 where sender contains
      blaise
