Dr. James Fraser and the Center for Applied Social Research have been
chosen to conduct research on urban development in six communities in
Chattanooga.  Through the Metropolitan Council, the Communiy Impact Fund
has contracted with the CASR for $39,788.  Dr. Fraser will use these funds
to collect baseline data to be used as a foundation for the collaborative's
initiatives in these communities.   Dr. Fraser encourages any faculty
member or graduate student interested in urban development to become
affiliated with the Center and involved in community research.

Congratulations to Dr. Fraser for combining research and outreach to
benefit our local community!
