One week ago our system in India was working just fine. I took a week
off and visited Calcutta. And the phone systems there were very bad and
I could not dial into the server in Bangalore. Well I get back to the
states and can connect into the NT server and ping the system, I can
logon with NS/VT so I know much is working. I try to connect with ftp
and get error
501 error initializing.
What does this mean? Looking at the jinetd job there is a line stating
Received call for: ftp TCP
In the startup it lists ftp/TCP added service, server /sys/arpa/ftpsrvr
and then configuration complete.
What is happening?
