You most certainly can make views of IMAGE/SQL tables, one caveat being
that when you detach the database, pouf, the views disappear.  This last
reason is why I added the MKVIEW command to capture the viewdefs in
DBTUNE/SQL, the freeware utility at our web site.  (Freeware, so no <plug
alert> needed.)

Does not IMAGE/SQL let you make views on IMAGE databases?
