Jim,

Being in the Payroll business (still on the HP3000), you can send a floppy,
but the layout is most likely different than the DAT file that you have.  We
have 2 separate programs for our customers that have one file layout for Reel
tapes and another for floppy tapes. You would have to check with your previous
vendor to see if they have a floppy format.
