>Build Chattanooga (ABC) Grant Program.
>
>PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Arts Build Chattanooga is a grant program of Allied
>Arts of Greater Chattanooga for the support of arts and cultural projects
>in the following areas:
>
>A. Support for projects designed to foster collaboration between arts
> organizations, artists, and social service agencies to use the arts to
>address social issues.
>
>B. Support for projects which provide access to the arts for traditionally
> underserved audiences.
>
>C. Support for projects which promote Chattanooga and Hamilton County
> artists in the performance, exhibition, and/or creation of works of art
> which enhance the cultural life of the community and which clearly
> cannot be undertaken without grant assistance.
>
>Proposals must fall into one of these categories and applicants must
>specify which area their proposed project addresses.
>
>APPLICATION PROCESS: All applicants are required to discuss their
>proposals in a preliminary interview with an Allied Arts staff member no
>later than Friday, March 26. Applicants may discuss proposals by phone or
>may make appointments to discuss them in person. Applicants may also
>submit draft proposals for review by the staff at least two weeks before
>the application deadline of April 9, 1999.
