we have installed a 3000/918 in what hp is calling the first system
outside of hp in India.  hp is just getting into the support of hp3000s
in India and have no one trained on this system.  every one is trained
on hp-ux and the 9000s.  since we seem to be the first system under
support, hp is trying to sell us a 3 yr. maintenance contract for about
us$20,000.  one way that we can reduce this is to find other 3000s who
are interested in a support contract of some kind.  we are looking for
all sites which have had or do now have a hp3000 in India.

please reply with contacts which we could give to hp so that the number
of customers can grow.

pioneers usually end up face down in the wilderness with arrows in their
back.  lets change that ending for this situation.
