You didn't mention what language you were using, but one likely scenario
is that there's something wrong with your "result" parameter, either
directly or indirectly. Make sure that you've declared IPCSHUTDOWN as an
intrinsic (appropriate to the language you're using), and if you're
omitting optional arguments, recount your commas.
