Hello,
I have one user who occasionally gets a peculiar error when she logs on. She gets the MPE XL: prompt, does her hello, enters her password, and gets the following error:
File system error reading $STDIN. (CIERR 1807)
After which, she hits enter a couple of times to get the MPE XL: prompt again, and tries (almost always successfully) to log on.
Our workstations are PCs running termulators, and are connected serially to the 3K through a DTC. Hers seems to be the only workstation that is getting this error. I've tried switching her to another port, but that hasn't helped. I suspect it has something to do with either (a) the wiring from the patch panel to her desk, or (b) something funny with her PC.
Any ideas? This isn't a major problem, just a minor inconvenience -- I'm more curious than anything else...
