We are using HP's ODBC/SE to access several IMAGE/SQL databases. This is a
Win32 application, and we have been programming using VB 5.0 and RDO 2.0
with the Microsoft ODBC Cursor Library. Recently, we upgraded to MPE 6.0,
and thus upgraded the PC client to version 56.12. We are experiencing
problems with SQL queries that return more than 100 records. By tracing the
ODBC calls on the client and the server, we found that the problem occurs
when the client requests a SQLExtendedFetch call. The PC will time-out
eventually, and the server seems to be unaffected. This problem is specific
to RDO code only. DAO, ADO, and SQLDirect code does work.
Has anybody else had similar problems, and if so, do you have any fixes or
workarounds?
