From: James Stroud, Acting Head, Music Department

We are saddened by the death of Ed Leamon, a prominent figure in
the Chattanooga music community, an adjunct faculty member in the Music
Department and husband of Nancy Leamon, Senior Secretary in the Music
Department's band area. Mr. Leamon, who was a tenor saxophonist of
national reputation, performed with Guy Lombardo, Tommy Dorsey, Count
Basie, Gregg Allman, the Chattanooga Symphony, and others far too numerous
to mention. He was 62. A memorial service will be announced as soon as
the date is determined.
