Implementing Oral Communication in General Education is the topic of a
weekend workshop, February 19, Friday afternoon and February 20, Saturday
morning.  The workshop is to help you and our faculty colleagues
incorporate oral comm elements in our new gen-ed core.

Chancellor Bill Stacy is inviting to campus two nationally recognized
experts in teaching and evaluating basic skills in oral communication....
these experienced oral communication educators will share with workshop
participants technique for developing and teaching oral communication
objectives...  how to evaluate student mastery...  and how to incorporate
oral comm objectives into courses and curricula.

Within the next week or so we'll provide an agenda for the meeting...
