Can anyone tell me if the INTER option actually improves throughput on a
STORE operation? My manager says he read something somewhere at some
time (nice and specific, huh?) that said it didn't actually make any
difference.
As it stands, I doubt it will make much difference for us. We're using
TurboSTORE (the 7x24 version) and backing up from mirrored disk on
fast-wide SCSI channels to DLT4000 on single-ended SCSI channels. Seems
to me if there's going to be a bottle-neck, it'll be at the DLT end, not
the disk. Opinions?
