I just received our Businessowners policy renewal today... right on the top:

"...you do not have coverage for liability arising out of any injury or
damage related to any computer or other electronic equipment's inability to
correctly recognize, process, distinguish, interpret or accept the year 2000
and beyond, with the exception of coverage for bodily injury which occurs on
any premises owned by or rented by the named insured.

"Other insurance options may be available concerning the change to the year
2000 and beyond. Consult your agent or insurance company for more
information concerning these options."

Guess what folks, now you know why you are getting, sending and answering
questionaires. Basically, if a businessowner gets burned by someone else's
Y2K problem - that businessowner can sue the one who burned them, but that
businessowner shound not go crying to their insurance company -- because the
claim will be marked, as they say in the business, "CWP" (Close Without
Pay).

If you have a business, look for this new ISO endorsement - numbered (in PA,
at least) as "CG 21620998" as well as "IN 00591198" and "IN 00490998" -- all
of them have something to do with not covering you, your business, any
damage which may arise due to a supplier's, etc. Y2K problem or YOUR
computers either! Look for it with this years' renewal, if you haven't seen
them already.

Happy Holidays <hah!>
Joe
