Jerry does not disagree with me as I do not want a vendor show at IPROF. I
put out for consideration that IPROF might provide some sort of vehicle to
let the users know about new HP 3000 products. After all, that is one of
the goals of IPROF, to discuss problems and possible solutions. Possible
solutions might be from 3rd parties (a lot of them are.) I would not agree
to any vendor presentation or vendor-sponsored events, but as I said, a
table where a vendor, in attendance not in a booth, could put some product
sheets.
We always moan, on this list, about the lack of new development for the HP
3000. This could be a small step in helping this situation.
But I definitely do not want to see IPROF overwhelmed by vendors, so
perhaps it is best to not permit this.
Kind regards,
Denys. . .

I disagree with my esteem colleague.... Keep the vendor show only at
HPWorld
and don't start it at IPROF. Once the door is opened it would be all too
easy to drift more towards a vendor sponsored event and we'll lose site of
the goal of sitting down together with HP lab folks to discuss issues and
possible solutions.
