I finally got the console to come up using the freeware emulator. I do get
an error with the lanic card, but I'm hoping that it's just a no-media
type of error. I did, however, connect a transceiver with a loop-back
cable and got the same error. I see the led's flash on the transceiver for
an instant, but nothing after that - totally dead.

What follows is my terminal output, maybe one of you kind souls can offer
some additional insight from it. If not, I'll wait until I get the HP-IB
cables and get the drives connected before filling up your mailboxes
again...
