Fruhling, September, Beim Schlafengehen, Im Abendrot. Otherwise known
as Richard Strauss' Vier letzte Lieder. Of the commercially released
recordings,
I am missing only Francoise Pollett's 1995 performance (on a difficult-to-get
French label), and Roberta Alexander's 1982 essay (on an equally obscure
Dutch LP). Tape copies are being prepared by certain friendly academics
in remote places and are expected in due course.
Now, we are **really** way off topic!
