Howdy,

As we slowly get our serial printers off the DTC's and onto the network we
are removing the DTC's. We
will eventually wind up with one left which we can't get rid of as it has
the TAC card supporting the few
telnet sessions we have (no OS upgrades, we're going to a 9k). With
everything gone from the DTC
I don't see any reason to keep OpenView DTC Manager around as about all we
would need to do
to the DTC is reset it which can be done by power off/power on.

I asked our local "HP guy" if I was missing something about dumping OpenView
and he thought
about it for awhile as said it should be ok to de-install it. I don't
neccessarily trust those
shifty beady little eyes. Am I missing something or can OpenView and DTC
Manager be
dispensed with?

Regards, (our operator says I should say "love and kisses")

Jim Trudeau
