Hello (blush),

this weekend the C: drive in my OmniBook 600C (not revealing
which vendor ;-) decided to break. Well, it's not completely
dead but severely damaged.

Unfortunately my in-progress version of "Pretty Good Porting
for MPE/iX" was on that disc drive (half way done) and I didn't
create a current backup of that data recently (blush blush)...

Does anybody know a tool for scanning a disc (with broken FAT
or directories or whatever) that might be able to recover a few
text or html files? Something that even a PC layman like me might
be able to use?

All help appreciated. Please reply directly to [log in to unmask]
as my access to HP3000-L via POP client has also gone with the
OmniBook's disc (sigh).

Thanks, Lars.

(yes, I know, PC backup to Samba/iX shares is a nice idea...)
