I think this would be a fantastic enhancement. I've set-up a user with
a logon UDC to accomplish something similar. What is wrong with my
approach is:
Somebody must logon as that user.
Somebody must still enter the "=Shutdown" command.
The UPS monitor has no cognizance of my UDC.
I'd like to see a couple of things in this proposed enhancement...
1.) The command file/script/job which executes would complete the
shutdown process, including the "=Shutdown" portion.
2.) The UPS monitor could be configured to call the command
file/script/job when it detects low battery. (This doesn't leave much
time for a true orderly shutdown, but it's better than nothing.)
