You have to run REGEDIT on NT, and create the following key:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Rdr\Parameters]
"EnablePlainTextPassword"=dword:00000001

This will enable "clear-text" passwords under NT.
