Because we have a mix of Windows and Apple gurus here, and that we like
getting into the bits and bytes of issues:

If you were wondering about this independent report on whether Microsoft
"broke" QuickTime (Apple's Multimedia plug-in), I pulled the independent
report last night and read through the whole thing.

It might seem suspect in that Microsoft commissioned the report, however, in
reading it, one can see that the firm (Mindcraft) actually tried to prove
Microsoft indeed did, attempt to break QuickTime. The report bears out that
it was Apple who wrote the plug-in install script incorrectly.

The full report, in PDF format (all 37 pages, with all of the gory details)
can be found at http://www.mindcraft.com/qtfix/
<http://www.mindcraft.com/qtfix/>. It makes for some interesting reading
and is rather convincing.

Best Regards,
Joe
