Is that like "Win nothing"?  As in what we all get if Micro$oft takes
over all of the markets that they want?

Maybe we are missing the obvious point of "Windows 2000".  It's
probably just Microsoft making its OS naming convention Y2K compliant
so it can continue the cycle of reinventing the OS into the next
millenium.  As pointed out above, it just doesn't work with 2 digit
years.
