I'm hoping everyone got the message I sent last week. If not, it is
attached below. I ignored MPE in the original email. The Year 2000 Ready
version of Maestro for MPE is D.01.47....pxa
Let me attempt to try and clear up this situation:
- Maestro 5.2.x and 6.0.x are the Year 2000 ready versions. (Darrius Plantz
already sent out the information about the change necessary in 5.2.)
- Previous Maestro versions were believed to be "compliant" based on Unison
Software's definition.
- The acquisition by Tivoli/IBM required retesting Maestro for IBM Year
2000 "readiness." Maestro versions 4.5.x, 5.0.x, and 5.1.x failed readiness
testing.
- Official Year 2000 Readiness reports for all Tivoli and IBM products can
be generated on this IBM website:
http://wwwyr2k.raleigh.ibm.com/servlet/MessageRouter/sw/Yr2k. You can also
get there by following the Year 2000 links on www.tivoli.com.
- I have attached a copy of Maestro report below.
- Extended Agents are all Year 2000 ready. They do not have date
dependencies. For Year 2000 reporting, Extended Agents are a subset of the
Maestro product and are not listed separately.

Year 2000 Ready Definition :
IBM uses the term "Year 2000 ready" to refer to products that meet
the following definition. Specifically, "Year 2000 ready"
means that "a product, when used in accordance with its
associated documentation, is capable of correctly processing,
providing and/or receiving date data within and between the 20th and
21st centuries, provided that all products (for example, hardware,
software and firmware) used with the product properly exchange accurate
date data with it."
IBM considers products not ready for Year 2000 if they do not meet the
definition set out above, or if they have not been tested. Products
not affected by the Year 2000, such as hardware frames, keyboards,
power supplies, and hardware or software product publications are
considered ready. Please note, IBM products identified as Year 2000
ready may require user intervention, such as the application of Program
Temporary Fixes (PTF's), Corrective Service Deliveries (CSDs)
Engineering Changes (ECs), etc., before the Year 2000 occurs, or for PCs,
restarting the system after the Year 2000 occurs. In an effort to provide
