I was cruising through some articles and I found one that surprised me a
little. It is in the October issue of Computer Shopper, on page 443 in
a sidebar article called: Inside Intel's IA-64 Architecture.

"Again, despite the chip's delay, Hewlett-Packard has announced
plans to use the IA-64 chip, which the company co-designed with Intel,
in its aging HP 3000 line of midrange servers."

Okay, so I'm glad to find out now that I'm working on an aging midrange
server, instead of a mature transaction processing mini. (sigh) So many
people, so little knowledge. Well, at least the PC people are starting
to take notice that there is an HP3000, I guess that the education of
what it can do will have to come next.
